A Spanish press report showed scenes of a meeting between Croatian Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric and club president Florentino Perez.
Modric received an attractive offer from the Saudi League club for 50 million euros for two seasons.
According to the Spanish newspaper AS, Modric made it clear to Perez that he was ready to refuse this offer in order to stay at Real Madrid.
The newspaper added that Perez appreciates Modric’s position and will invite him to stay for another season in the royal team.
Modric has made 44 appearances for Real Madrid this season in various competitions, scoring 12 goals and is still capable of making a difference in the meringue shirt.
Modric’s contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of this season.
