Odegaard’s contract with Arsenal officially extended

English club Arsenal announced the extension of the contract of their player Martin Odegaard in a statement published on their official website today, Friday.

In their official statement, the Gunners indicated that Odegaard had signed a five-season contract linking him to Arsenal until the summer of 2028.

Odegaard commented on his contract extension: “I’m very happy with this move and excited about what’s next. Arsenal is like home to me because it’s a place where I felt stable from the first moment.”

The Norwegian international added: “The decision to extend was an easy one because the club is going through an exceptional period and I want to be part of it.”

Martin Odegaard, 24, has been shining for the Gunners since the start of the current season, recently winning the best player award in his team’s opening Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven.

Odegaard has been playing for Arsenal since January 2021, when he joined from Real Madrid on loan before the London club finally activated his inclusion clause in the summer of that year.
