German coach Jurgen Klopp commented on the absence of the Egyptian national team star Mohamed SalahIn line facing him Liverpool Against LASK in the first round of the 2023-2024 Europa League.
Liverpool are in Group E with the following clubs: LASK Linz (Austria), Toulouse (France) and Saint-Geloise (Belgium).
Jurgen Klopp comes on as a substitute
Jurgen Klopp will rely on substitutes and young players to rest his starting XI as the Reds take on West Ham United at Anfield next Sunday.
Klopp said: “A lot of changes in the team are a sign that we have a good team that delivers on the pitch. “The players who played on Saturday could play again.”
He added: “But we are at the start of the season and we need to make sure we get the whole team involved this season. I wanted to put together a team today that wants to prove something. We want to give everything we have to this tournament.”
