Chelsea defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko wants to join AC Milan in the summer transfer window, according to Planet Milan, as reported by Sports witness. Bakayoko spent the 2018-19 season on loan to Milan from Chelsea and wants to return to the Italian giants for the 2021-22 season.
Chelsea have been reported to have activated a unilateral clause which allowed them to extend Bakayoko’s contract for another season. This will allow the 26-year-old to move to Milan, who in turn would like to sign the defensive midfielder of the French national team this summer.
Bakayoko joined Chelsea from AS Monaco in the summer of 2017. The French international was on loan to AC Milan in 2018-19, on loan to Monaco in 2019-20 and on loan to Napoli last season. During his time at the Neapolitan club, the 26-year-old defensive midfielder did 23 starts and nine appearances as a substitute in Serie A, scoring two goals and giving an assist in the process.
