Wilfried Zaha scored against Tottenham for the first time in the Premier League and Odsonne Edouard scored a belated debut brace as Crystal Palace easily defeated their lackluster visitors 3-0 at Selhurst Park.
Flying winger Zaha had faced Tottenham on 12 league occasions without scoring a single goal or assist, but capped off a good performance with a 76th-minute penalty before serving Edouard.
When he took his penalty shot past Hugo Lloris, Tottenham had dropped to 10 men after losing Japhet Tanganga in the 58th minute after the defender lost his temper and received two yellow cards for taking down Zaha and Jordan Ayew.
Tottenham had arrived in South London as Premier League leaders, but they were poor, Harry Kane virtually anonymous as the guests only had two scoring attempts throughout the game.
Substitute Edouard, fresh from Celtic, secured the points when he fired from Zaha’s pass in the 84th minute just seconds after coming off the bench, before getting a second deep in steal.
