Olivier Giroud reveals his desire to stay at Chelsea after his heroics in the Blues’ triumph over Sevilla in the Champions League.

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has verified that he is happy to put on the blue jersey and wants to stay at Stamford Bridge.

The France international has struggled for game time over the likes of Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner this term, however Giroud showed his worth to Chelsea with all 4 goals in their 4-0 win over Sevilla in the Champions League.

With a spot in France’s Euros squad at stake, Giroud has been linked with a move in other places in order to get more first-team action, however the former Arsenal man has restated his desire to stay at Chelsea.

Talking To the official Chelsea website, Giroud stated: “I just need to show the manager that I am ready to combat till completion, as I informed him at the start of the season, however certainly to be pleased I need to be a bit more on the pitch.

Giroud is currently in the final year of his contract with Chelsea, with Serie A giants Inter Milan and Juventus credited with an interest in the 34-year-old in recent weeks.
