Arnor Traustason scored twice as New England Revolution amassed four first-half goals in a 5-0 defeat of troubled Inter Miami in the MLS on Wednesday.

The Revolution improved their record, with consecutive wins, to the best in the MLS with 30 points in 15 games, sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference.

Inter are last in the east, with just eight points from 14 games, having lost their last six.

Carles Gil provided the assist, his 11th of the season, for Traustason’s header on 15 minutes, before Teal Bunbury fired on 27 minutes on a save by Inter goalkeeper Nick Marsman.

Icelandic midfielder Traustason took his second in the 36th minute, whipping in a shot after a scrum on goal from a corner.

Gil was shrewd on the right side of the box before scoring another goal with Adam Buksa whipping home a fine volley on the stroke of half-time.

Buksa got a brace in the 83rd minute as Gustavo Bou put him in the space with the Polish striker closing with class.

Without Javier Hernandez, LA Galaxy came by two goals less to score a 2-2 draw at Real Salt Lake.

Albert Rusnak and Maikel Chang both scored in the opening 25 minutes and brought RSL a 2-0 lead.

Victor Vazquez pulled one back with a high-angle shot in the 33rd minute, before RSL goalkeeper David Ochoa spectacularly parried a Rayan Raveloson header in the second half.

But Madagascar talent Raveloson scored a draw in the 77th minute to earn a share of the loot.

DC United scored twice in the last 10 minutes to save the 2-2 draw against a struggling Chicago Fire.

Gaston Gimenez’s goal in the 32nd minute on his return from Copa America and Andy Najar’s own goal in the 61st minute put Chicago on track, but United responded late.

In the 82nd minute, Yordy Reyna suspended for Kevin Paredes who fired from the post, before Ola Kamara converted a penalty in the 87th minute.

Hungarian striker Daniel Salloi scored a 94th-minute draw for Sporting KC at high flying to achieve a 1-1 draw at home with the 10-man San Jose Earthquakes being winless in 10.

Salloi forced home a rebound after Johnny Russell’s free kick hit the wood after Nathan led the earthquakes lead from a corner against the game run early in the second half.

Felipe Mora got a look at a late winning goal for the Portland Timbers who beat Los Angeles FC 2-1 after Carlos Vela previously equalized after Diego Valeri’s 100th goal for the club.

Colorado Rapids beat Dallas 2-0 to extend its unbeaten streak, Cincinnati drew 1-1 with Atlanta United and Columbus Crew and Nashville drew goalless.

Toronto drew 1-1 with the New York Red Bulls, while New York City beat Montreal 1-0.
