Liverpool consider Neto as potential replacement for Salah

Liverpool could renew their interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Pedro Neto next summer if Mohamed Salah leaves the club, according to Football Insider.

Salah was the subject of strong interest from Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad this summer, but Liverpool refused to sell the Egyptian star at any price. However, Salah will enter the final year of his contract at the end of the season and will be 32, so a move away from Anfield seems plausible. If he does leave, the Merseysiders will obviously need a replacement and Neto is one of the options they will be willing to consider.

The 23-year-old Portugal international has been playing very well this season and he put in a strong individual performance against Liverpool, helping Hwang Hee-chan score his side’s only goal in a 2-1 defeat. Overall, Neto has five goals (one goal, four assists) in seven Premier League matches this season.
