Arsenal are interested in signing Martin Subimendi from Real Sociedad in the January transfer window, reports Fishages. The report claims the Gunners were interested in Zubimendi in the summer transfer window and could make a move to bring the defensive midfielder to the Emirates Stadium mid-season.
Subimendi’s contract with Sociedad has a €60 million release clause and Arsenal, who are aiming to win the Premier League title this season, could decide to pay it. Although the North London club wanted to sign the 24-year-old in the summer of 2024, they are prioritizing other signings.
The Spain international has scored once in four La Liga appearances for Sociedad this season. Subimendi made 35 starts and one substitute appearance in La Liga for Real Madrid last season, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
