It looks like Zinedine Zidane’s return to Real Madrid’s job for a third time is close to being realized, especially after he welcomed the idea of a comeback if Italian Carlo Ancelotti leaves.
Ancelotti’s contract with Merengo expires in June 2024, and his name has recently been associated with Brazil training despite his denial of the spreading news.
Florentino Pérez, President of the Royal Club, could decide to sack Ancelotti, especially as the team’s declining local level is second only to Barcelona in the La Liga standings.
Zidane welcomes idea to return to Real Madrid training
The La Ser network has confirmed that Zidane is the preferred option for Florentino Pérez if Ancelotti leaves.
Ocdiario also confirmed that Zidane has no problem returning to Real Madrid and would not mind replacing the Italian and coaching the team for a third time.
It is worth noting that Zidane led the club to three successive Champions League titles during his first term, a feat that no other manager has achieved.
He also led the club to Spanish League victory twice during his tenure as team manager, in office from 2016 to 2018 and again from 2019 to 2021.
