And the newspaper Sport reported that the Parisian club offered to loan Neymar to Barca as part of a deal to buy Dembele for 50 million euros.
She added that the idea was completely rejected by Barça officials and coach Javi Hernandez.
She clarified that Xavi believes that his club cannot afford to gamble with Neymar’s salary and that he is not the right player for the team’s new sports project.
For his part, Neymar (31) has insisted on staying at PSG, has abandoned the idea of playing in the Saudi Arabian league, and attempts to transfer him to Chelsea have failed.
The Brazilian star intends to stay in Paris to keep his huge salary, which is one of the highest in the world.
Neymar is linked to PSG by a contract that expires in the summer of 2025, with news reports indicating that there is a clause that would automatically extend it for two additional years, until 2027.
