Xavi Suffers Yet Another Injury, Barcelona Reports

    Xavi, a midfielder for Barcelona’s first team, was injured yesterday while playing for Spain against Georgia in a Euro 2024 qualifier.

    Spain were able to beat Georgia in the Euro qualifiers by three to one, but Xavi’s injury struck the Catalan club’s management like a bolt of lightning, as he is considered a mainstay in Barcelona and the Spanish national team.

    Javi was initially diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament yesterday and will be out for 7 to 8 months.

    According to the official statement of the Catalan club, Barcelona first team midfielder Xavi, after undergoing a medical examination, received a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee.

    The statement added: Xavi has another injury to his lateral meniscus and will undergo surgery in the next few days.

    It is noteworthy that Xavi’s injury will take around eight months off the field, and the team’s technical director Xavi Hernandez must find a suitable replacement for the young player.
