According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Wolverhampton Wanderers are trying to keep Ruben Neves.
It was reported last week that Jorge Mendes planned to transfer Neves to Barcelona this month for the cheapest possible fee. The way he was going to do it involved a deal worth around 40 million euros, with some indicating that it could happen before the end of the January transfer window.
Alas, we cannot imagine that many Wolves fans would support this, and it turns out that the club feels the same way.
They are ready to block Mendez’s efforts, making sure they can keep Neves at the club until at least the summer.
Of course, by June there is every chance that Neves will be looking for something else. However, for now, he is ready to stick around at Molineux.
