The Football Association of Saudi Arabia has come up with a surprise for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, which is considered to be one of the oldest local championships in Saudi Arabia.

The federation has officially announced that the clubs participating in the tournament have 32 teams divided among 18 teams from the Saudi Roshen Pro League, in addition to the top 14 teams in the Yellow League.

It is worth noting that the cup championship, which was first launched in 1957 and continued until 1990, stopped for 18 years before returning again in 2008.

For the past three seasons, Al Ittihad have been pleased with the participation of clubs in the Saudi Roshan League due to heavy crowding in the Saudi football schedule.
