Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City, according to the Daily Express. The proposed move would apparently reunite the 26-year-old Nigerian with former teammate James Maddison.
Ndidi joined Leicester in January 2017 and has since made a total of 252 appearances for the Foxes across all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 16 assists from his central midfield position. He was instrumental in the club’s 2021 FA Cup triumph.
Ndidi has been closely linked with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United in the past. He was thought to be leaving the King Power Stadium at the end of last season when Leicester were relegated from the Premier League, but for now he has remained in place. This season he has three goals and four assists in 15 matches, 12 in the Championship and three in the League Cup.
If nothing is done in January, Ndidi could leave Leicester as a free agent in the summer unless he signs a new contract.
