Brazilian Vinicius Junior was recently subjected to racism and abuse from fans of competing teams.
The match between the two teams ended last night in a goalless draw, with each team scoring one point, leaving the white team 9 points clear of their traditional rivals Barcelona, leaders.

The Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo published statements about player Aitor Ruibal, the star of Betis, where he said: “Vincius usually gets into controversy during the match with the fans.”
Roybal continued: “I saw him at a meeting up close. He was talking to the fans in the stands all the time, so it makes sense that they insulted him.”
