Portuguese Rui Vitoria, coach of the Egyptian national team, has revealed one reason that prompted him to leave the Pharaohs at a time when his name was associated with the Al-Ittihad team.
Notably, sacked Portuguese coach Nuno Santo left the Saudi Dean’s Castle due to the team’s recent deterioration in results.

Vitoria spoke about the possibility of his departure in statements during a press conference held today, Thursday, at the Egyptian Football Association, where he said: “I am very happy to be here.”
He added: “I always get offers, but at the moment I’m not thinking about leaving because I’m very happy with the Egyptian national team and I really like the atmosphere.”
He concluded his speech on this occasion with the words: “I will not leave, except for one case: I do not feel comfortable and I am losing passion for this mission, but at present I feel very happy.”
The history of Vitoria in Saudi Arabian stadiums
The history of the Portuguese coach is connected with the stadiums of Saudi Arabia, where he previously coached the team. VictoryHe led it from January 2019 to December 2020.
During his time at Al Nasr, Vitoria managed to win the Saudi Arabian Championship and the local Super Cup in the 2019-2020 season, before leaving due to deteriorating results at the start of the 2020-2021 season.
