After winning the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich at the Etihad 3-0, Manchester City ended work at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday with a 1-1 draw against the Bundesliga champions.
The match was obviously a lot more interesting than the one played in Manchester and City boss Josep Guardiola says the whole draw was a lot harder than the points total would suggest.
In the semi-finals, his team will face Real Madrid, a longtime enemy since his Barcelona days, and the team that knocked out City at the same stage last season, en route to winning the trophy.
“I’m so happy to be in the Champions League semi-finals for the third year in a row.” 🏆
