    The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has approved a 130 percent increase in the Super Cup prize money, days after USM Algiers won the competition title at the expense of Al Ahly.

    CAF said in a statement on its official website on Monday that Algeria’s USM Algiers, who won the last edition of the African Super Cup last Friday in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the expense of Egypt’s Al Ahly, will receive half a million dollars. instead of $200,000.

    He added that Al Ahly, the runner-up, will receive $250,000 instead of $125,000.

    In a statement, CAF explained that the increase in Super Cup bonuses is in line with the commitment of its President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, to increase financial prizes in all Confederation of Africa competitions, thereby ensuring that football clubs and teams become self-sufficient. in the medium and long term.
