UEFA Council Includes Zidane, Mourinho and Ancelotti

The UEFA European Football Association has decided to create a football council, which will include 20 people, led by Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, Portuguese José Mourinho and Italian Carlo Ancelotti.

The creation of the “UEFA Council” was approved at the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Lisbon on 4 April, marking the first time that a football advisory body of such a high level had been established.

The first meeting of the UEFA Council will take place on 24 April at UEFA headquarters in Nyon.

The purpose of the “UEFA Council” is to provide UEFA with an institutional and independent voice in all football-related matters.

The council would have to come up with ideas for drafting laws or regulating football, which could then be turned into “bills”.
