    Tuchel open to reunion with Bayern Munich as Mount rises up to the challenge

    Mason Mount’s future has been the subject of much speculation over the past few months following news that talks between him and Chelsea over a new contract have been halted. Liverpool and Newcastle are reportedly monitoring the situation closely with plans to rebuild their midfield in the summer.

    However, later reports reported that Bayern Munich are interested in taking the 24-year-old footballer to Germany after the appointment of former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel as head coach. The keeperMount is ready to reunite with Tuchel at the Allianz Arena.

    After numerous stellar signings over the last two transfer windows, Mount is one of the lowest paid players at Stamford Bridge and he is clearly uneasy about his status at Chelsea. His role has dwindled considerably since Graham Potter took over from Tuchel earlier this season, with his last 90-minute play being a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace in mid-January.

    Mount’s current contract expires at the end of the season, but Chelsea are believed to be hoping it will be cancelled. £50 million for his services.
