Transfers News: Will Di Maria leave Juventus next summer?

Angel Di Maria will leave Juventus at the end of the season, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via HOW). Apparently, the veteran Argentine winger has his “suitcase packed”.

The 34-year-old joined the Old Lady this summer as a free agent, following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. He has signed a one-year contract to play for the Serie A giants, and it seems that it has already been decided that there will be no extension as the club seeks to reduce his salary.

Di Maria’s time in Turin did not start well, with Juventus currently in seventh place in the Italian top flight. Their current winless streak so far has come to five games in all competitions, and failure to win over Bologna on Sunday would certainly increase the pressure on manager Massimiliano Allegri.

Di Maria, who has scored a goal and assisted in five games with Juventus so far, will not be able to help his team against Thiago Motta’s side, after scoring a red card in the shocking 1-0 defeat at Monza before the international break.
