Transfers News: Rice reiterates West Ham’s commitment

Speaking to the press ahead of West Ham’s Europa League win against Rapid Vienna on Thursday, Declan Rice made it perfectly clear that he was 100% focused on playing for his current team and manager.

Rice has been heavily linked to Chelsea in the past and more recently Manchester United which sees a high quality defensive midfielder as the last missing piece of the puzzle to seriously contend for the Champions League and Premier League titles. His stock has risen very much after his superb exploit for England at the Europeans this summer, and the Hammers are believed to be holding on to an offer of over £ 100 million before even thinking of a sale.

The 22-year-old firmly believes he’s not even thinking about a transfer.

“We’ve talked about it a lot in the past,” said the 22-year-old. “Everyone knows how I feel about West Ham and how I feel playing under the manager and what it’s like to play with the group of players I’m playing with.

You can see how happy I am on the pitch, I love playing for this team and for this coach. Honestly, it’s a great place to stay right now. With the results and the way we’re going, it makes it a little bit more special. “
