Transfers News: Real rules out Ronaldo’s return

According to HOWReal Madrid have ruled out the possibility of bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 37-year-old, currently at the World Cup in Qatar with Portugal, has been released following a deal to terminate his contract with Manchester United a couple of days ago after his openly scathing criticism of the 20-times European champions in a interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo spent nine years in the Spanish capital, scoring an impressive 450 goals in just 438 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos.

Madrid have some issues to sort out at the moment, with this year’s Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema currently sidelined with an injury that has forced him out of France’s World Cup squad.

The only designated striker in Real’s ranks apart from Benzema is Mariano Diaz, who is completely out of favor at the club and has played just 25 minutes in five games all season, and this has apparently caused speculation about Ronaldo’s potential return to Santiago Bernabeu. However, at this point, Real are not planning on making a move to re-sign their former superstar.
