Real Madrid are interested in signing Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023, according to Fichajes. The Spanish news report said the reigning La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners were willing to pay up to €90m in transfer fees for the 20-year-old Croatia international centre-back.
German club RB Leipzig, however, won’t sell Gvardiol for anything less than €100m, meaning Real Madrid will have to step up their offer to secure the services of the 20-year-old, who is doing extremely well for Croatia at the Qatar World Cup 2022.
Gvardiol has made eight Bundesliga appearances and five substitute appearances for RB Leipzig so far this season. The defender has also scored once in four UEFA Champions League games for the German club this season and featured four times for Croatia at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
