Juventus has reached an agreement with the Brazilians of Santos for the transfer of Kaio Jorge, second Fabrizio Romano. Santos will receive € 1.5m immediately and another € 1.5m in a year provided Juventus do not fail to qualify for the Champions League at the end of next season. In addition, there is a € 1 million bonus in the agreement for certain appearances, and Santos will have priority over other clubs in the event of a loan transfer.
Kaio Jorge is a 19-year-old forward who is widely regarded as a highly talented player with a great future ahead of him. He is a product of the Accademia del Santos and joined the first team in January 2019. He has appeared in 42 Brazilian Serie A games so far, scoring five goals and producing three assists.
There is no doubt that Juventus have a young man with enormous potential in their hands, it remains to be seen whether to turn into a club legend or sell at a substantial profit. On the other hand, Santos also did well from the deal, as Jorge’s contract would expire at the end of the year.
