Borussia Dortmund wanted to sign Liam Delap from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, second Football insider. It was reported that the German club made an offer of £ 15 million for the teenager towards the back end of the window, but the Premier League City champions declined.
Delap signed a new long-term contract on August 20 and is highly rated by the defending Premier League City champions. Dortmund signed Jadon Sancho from the Citizens when the England winger, now at Manchester United, was 17 and hoped to attract the 18-year-old forward.
However, City have high hopes for Delap and have turned down Dortmund’s contract. The England Under 18 international played once in the Premier League for Pep Guardiola’s team.
