Transfers News: Arsenal in advanced talks for the signing of Aaron Ramsdale

Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United in the summer transfer window, according to Football London. It is reported that the Blades value Ramsdale at £ 30m and that the North London club will pay £ 24m upfront with the rest in add-ons.

Bernd Leno is Arsenal’s starting goalkeeper at the moment, and that won’t change, at least not this season. However, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta needs capable support and it appears the north London club have identified Ramsdale as that player.

Ramsdale was exceptional for United last season and, with the Blades relegated to the league, there is a very good chance the 23-year-old will leave. After all, the youngest is a very good goalkeeper who was part of the English team that reached the final of Euro 2020 this summer.
