Bayern close to signing Rafael Guerreiro

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Rafael Guerreiro for a free transfer from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund.

The Portuguese with 63 caps has spent seven years at Signal Iduna Park and with his contract expiring at the end of the month, he has decided to switch to the reigning Bundesliga champions. The 29-year-old has previously been linked to Atlético Madrid.

Although Guerreiro has mostly been a left-back, he has played as a central midfielder in recent games and it remains to be seen what Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel has in store for him.

Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund agree on Jude Belligham

Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over the proposed transfer of Jude Bellingham. The Spanish giants are expected to pay more than €100m for the 19-year-old midfielder’s services, making the move one of the most expensive in any club’s history.

Bellingham has always been inclined to leave Signal Iduna Park and for a time the race for his talent was between Real Madrid and two Premier League heavyweights Manchester City and Liverpool. Liverpool were thought to be ahead of the other two bidders, but once they realized that Borussia would not back down on the asking price, they abandoned negotiations and turned to other targets.

Why City didn’t put in more of an effort remains a mystery, although some believe that spending so much per player could reflect badly on the club, which is under investigation for 115 allegations of alleged financial impropriety.

Be that as it may, after the departure of Liverpool, Real Madrid became the favorite and relatively quickly convinced Bellingham and his team to move to the Spanish capital.

The England international must now undergo a medical examination before being officially confirmed as a Real Madrid player.

Wilfried Zaha joins Ronaldo Al-Nassr?

Clubs from Saudi Arabia seem to have launched an offensive to sign as many football stars as possible this summer. Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr On January 1, after his Manchester United contract was terminated and Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha received a very lucrative offer to join him, according to Sky Sports.

Meanwhile, in case you missed it yesterday, Al Ittihad have signed Real Madrid icon Karim Benzema and are close to finalizing a deal for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, who has reportedly been treated for a transfer.

Liverpool sign Mac Allister £35 million?

Fabrizio Romano claims Liverpool have signed Alexis McAllister from Brighton & Hove Albion. The medical is believed to have been done on Tuesday and the Argentine has apparently signed a five-year deal with the Reds, although official confirmation from the club has yet to come.

But the most intriguing aspect of the deal, assuming Romano’s information is correct, is the fee. Included a clause in Mac Allister’s contract with Brighton – a clause worth no more than £35 million, although initial reports suggested that potential fans should be prepared to pay twice as much.

Inter Miami insist on Messi

Inter Miami reportedly is working in partnership with Major League Soccer to try and sign Lionel Messi as a free agent.

The 35-year-old superstar has ended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and will not be signing a new one. Barcelona are working hard to bring him back to the Camp Nou, where he will play under former teammate-turned-manager Xavi Hernandez. There have also been reports of interest from Saudi Arabia.

But Inter Miami is confident that, backed by some of the league’s most prominent partners like Apple and Adidas, their offer could be lucrative enough to lure Messi to Florida.

UPDATE:

Inter Miami have confirmed the signing of Lionel Messi on a free transfer.

Interestingly, after the announcement of the decision to join MLS, Messi stated that he was not sure that everyone in Barcelona wanted him back.

“Honestly, I’m not sure that Barça did their best to make it happen,” he said. “I just know what Javi said to me.”

“I’m sure there were people at the club who did NOT want me to return to Barça, considering my return to be negative for the club.”

Messi also said that his decision to move to Inter Miami was not driven by money, and given that he had an offer to move to Saudi Arabia, he was probably telling the truth about it.

Meanwhile, the MLS released an official statement.

“We are delighted that Lionel Messi has said he wants to join Inter Miami and Major League Soccer this summer. While there is still work to be done to finalize a formal agreement, we look forward to welcoming one of the greatest players of all time to our league.”

Aouar will play for Roma

Houssem Aouar has confirmed his departure from Olympique Lyon as a free agent and according to several sources, he has already signed a contract to play for Roma from next season.

Previous reports A deal to move the 24-year-old midfielder to Roma was believed to have closed in early May, although Tottenham Hotspur were believed to be trying to get him across the English Channel for a while.

After losing the Europa League final to Sevilla after finishing sixth in Serie A, Roma failed to qualify for the Champions League, but with Aouar in his ranks, head coach José Mourinho is sure to try again.
