Tottenham Hotspur are not going to interview Julian Nagelsmann about the vacant coaching position, PA news agency understands.
Nagelsmann has been closely associated with the post following his surprise departure from Bayern Munich at the end of March.
The 35-year-old ran for Spurs in 2021 before Bayern attacked him to enlist the services of one of the most sought-after young coaches in world football.
When Antonio Conte left Tottenham shortly after Nagelsmann’s dramatic exit from Bundesliga champions, the German manager was expected to be back in contention for a vacancy at the Premier League club.
There have been rumors since then, but while Tottenham have a lot of respect for Nagelsmann, they won’t be meeting or interviewing him for the role, and he’s not a contender, as PA understands.
