The report claims Tottenham were looking for Abraham in Roma’s game against AC Milan at the Olimpico Stadium in Serie A over the weekend. Tottenham will have to pay at least £40m for Abraham. The striker is in his second season at Roma and has made a name for himself in José Mourinho’s team. The 25-year-old has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 23 Serie A games this season. Abraham has also scored one goal and provided two assists in seven UEFA Europa League starts this campaign.

Tottenham are currently sixth in the Premier League table with 54 points from 34 games, nine points behind fourth-placed Manchester United who have played 32 games. Meanwhile, Roma are currently in sixth place in the Serie A standings with 57 points from 32 matches, equal on points with fourth-placed Inter Milan.
