Tottenham Hotspur beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 on Saturday in the Premier League. Not surprisingly, Harry Kane was the player who scored his team’s winning goal, but a few minutes earlier, as PGMOL later admitted, VAR made the mistake of not awarding a penalty to Brighton due to Pierre-Émile Hojbjerg stepping on Kaoru’s foot Mitoma.
However, Spurs interim boss Christian Stellini was unfazed by the incident, saying his team had to accept calls from VAR that they disagreed with many times.
🗣 “Many times we had to agree with what VAR said.”
