    Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Toby Alderweireld confirms the exits of Michel Vorm and Jan Vertonghen

    Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Toby Alderweireld has validated that goalkeeper Michel Vorm and fellow Belgium international Jan Vertonghen are leaving the North Londonclub

    The Dutch goalie went back to Spurs last summer for the second time as a cover for Hugo Lloris and Paulo Gazzaniga, while the Belgian defender is set to end his eight-year stay after he could not agree terms of a new deal with theclub

    .

    Both played a key part in Tottenham’s campaign this term, and while the club have not formally validated that they are leaving, Alderweireld has done so through a psychological post on Twitter:

    Vorm, 36, included in 48 games throughout all competitions for Spurs over 6 seasons, and it will be fascinating to see where he ends upnext

    Vertonghen, 33, played 30 games throughout all competitions for the club this term and an overall of 315 since his arrival from Ajax.

    He isn’t short of choices and has already been linked with Manchester City ahead of the summer transfer window.

    Mourinho will aim to generate essential replacements this summer and it will be fascinating to see who the club sign.
