Barcelona officials, led by Joan Laporta, are trying to settle a season-long deal, as the Catalan club prepares to put three players up for sale to land a stellar deal with Bayern Munich.
Reports by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, an expert on the transfer market, indicated that the Catalan club wanted to sign German Joshua Kimmich, despite the fact that Bayern Munich could not refuse the player.
Kimmich was chosen due to the club’s desire to sign a replacement for captain Sergo Busquets, who will leave the walls of the Catalan castle at the end of the current season.
Last week, Barça officially announced the departure of Busquets at the end of the current season, as his contract expires in the summer of 2023.
Barcelona have decided to sacrifice three players to settle a season deal.
And, according to what was announced by the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barça are considering the transfer of Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres and Nico González as a sacrifice to Bayern in order to reduce the amount Bayern are asking to refuse the services of Kimmich, who is 80 million euros.
