According to press reports, Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, a player for Spanish team Barcelona, remains the focus of attention from Saudi League clubs as well as American League clubs.
The report also indicates that Saudi Arabia continues to show interest in the player, so the Saudi League and its American counterpart are expected to begin attempting to secure the player’s services during the upcoming winter transfer period.
In the last summer transfer period, an amount of 150 million euros was offered for Lewandowski’s arrival in Saudi Arabia, but the player refused and decided to remain at the Catalan club.
Barcelona striker Lewandowski is on the MLS transfer agenda for January.
According to Sport newspaper, there is strong interest from the American League, not to mention the name of the club, which wants to sign the Polish striker.
The player himself admitted in the summer that he had the idea of playing in the American League even before the option of moving to Barcelona arose, and said: “Before the Corona virus epidemic, the idea of creating the American Football League was firmly established in my mind.”
Although he does not close the door to think about this adventure again, the Pole understands that his signing with Barcelona changed everything and says: “I changed my mind and after the option I moved to Barcelona.”
