    Spanish League Pays Tribute to Earthquake Victims in Morocco

    The Spanish Football League (La Liga) has announced that there will be a minute’s silence in first and second division matches in solidarity with the victims and families of the earthquake that hit Morocco on Friday night.

    In a statement the league published yesterday, Saturday, on its official website, it said: “LaLiga, in agreement with the Spanish Federation, will commit to holding a minute of silence in matches of the first and second division of the league as a sincere show. solidarity and support to the families and friends of the victims of the earthquake in Morocco.”

    The Association expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and reaffirmed its solidarity with the Moroccan people in this human tragedy.

    The European Football Association (UEFA), in turn, declared a minute of silence in all team and club matches on the continent, starting today, Sunday, September 10, until September 21, in mourning for the victims of the earthquake in Morocco.
