AS Roma are interested in signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, second Corriere dello Sport. New Roma coach Jose Mourinho wants to add physicality to his midfield and has identified Loftus-Cheek as a potential target in the final days of the window.
Loftus-Cheek has been with Chelsea since 2014 and worked with Mourinho during the Portuguese’s second bout as manager at Stamford Bridge. However, the 25-year-old England international has failed to make it to the top team and has been on loan at Crystal Palace and Fulham in recent years.
Chelsea have a strong and stable midfield and won the Champions League last season. Manager Thomas Tuchel may not need Loftus-Cheek, who was on loan at Fulham last season. If Chelsea receive a good offer from Roma, then the Premier League giants could decide to cash in on the 25-year-old.
