Reign stopped play again in New Zealand and in the final white ball encounter in India as the pair saw no result in a second abandoned ODI in Hamilton.
The tourists went 89-1 from 12.5 overs at Seddon Park before the referees officially announced the time of the match amid deteriorating conditions.
In a game that already had a break before five overs due to rain, this is the second game in the pair’s wider limited overs streak to be washed out by the weather, along with T20’s draw at the DLS.
The result means New Zealand lead 1-0 after the first ODI ahead of Tuesday’s final game at Christchurch’s Hagley Oval.
Rain has the last word in Seddon Park. We move to Christchurch for the final match of the Sterling Reserve ODI Series at Hagley Oval on Wednesday.
