Manchester City, the champions of England and Europe, announced on Wednesday the extension of the contract of their Portuguese international Bernardo Silva until 2026.
Several reports have linked Bernardo to leaving Manchester City this summer, with the desire of many clubs to sign him such as Barcelona, Spain, Paris Saint-Germain, the French champions, and some Saudi clubs.

But the attacking midfielder and winger, whose current contract expires in 2025, has extended his contract for another year.
Manchester City quoted the 29-year-old as saying: “I’ve had six great years at Manchester City and I’m happy to extend my time here. Winning the treble last season was a special occasion and it’s great to be part of the team.” such a hungry and passionate band.”
Silva joined City in 2017 from Monaco, France and has earned him the Premier League title and Champions League five times this year.
Silva appeared with the team in 308 matches in all competitions, scoring 55 goals.
At international level, Silva has made 82 caps for Portugal and earned him the 2019 European Nations League title when he was named Player of the Tournament.
