According to a recent report by Fabrizio Romano, Roma are preparing to make a third offer in an attempt to sign Granit Xhaka this summer.
They are said to feel confident enough to get a deal beyond the finish line with the personal terms already agreed. Xhaka, who currently plays for Arsenal, put up a string of solid performances during Euro 2020 to help Switzerland reach the quarter-finals. However, some are wondering if he’s still the right person for the Gunners, especially considering how bad things went for them last season.
Jose Mourinho is the new Roma manager who could add an extra dimension to all of this as he was at the helm of Tottenham Hotspur in his last post, rivals Arsenal. Needless to say, fans probably wouldn’t be happy with Xhaka if he moved to Roma, but at the end of the day, he has to think about what’s best for his progression.
