Serie-A News: Pogba returns to training with Juventus

Paul Pogba returned to training with Juventus on Tuesday, just over a month before France’s first World Cup game.

The midfielder’s second spell at Juventus got off to a terrible start when he suffered a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee.

This injury prevented Pogba from playing for the Bianconeri after his departure from Manchester United.

Pogba returned to training with his teammates on Tuesday, however the club said he was “partly” working with the team as he was pictured in action.

It’s good news for both the Serie A giants and France, five weeks before the cup winners start their World Cup defense against Australia in Qatar.

Confirmation of Pogba’s return came after Les Bleus head coach Didier Deschamps said he needed to make sure the 29-year-old was fully healthy before including him in his team.

Speaking after the Ballon d’Or in Paris on Monday, Deschamps told Sport Mediaset: “His program is going well. The main thing is that he recovered, I think he will recover, and this is already good.

“Then the question will be whether he looks athletic, since he has not played for a long time.

“But I repeat, before I think about whether I will call him, he must be healed.”
