Juventus defender Gianluca Frabotta arrived at Verona on a seasonal loan.

Italy’s Under 21 international will spend the 2021-22 season with the Gialloblù, who finished tenth in Serie A last season.

Frabotta joined Juve from Bologna in August 2019, making his first team debut in the 3-1 defeat to Roma the following year.

The left-back appeared 17 times with the bianconeri in all competitions under Andrea Pirlo last season, scoring in the Coppa Italia win against SPAL.

Verona reportedly eliminated competition from Atalanta and Genoa to secure Frabotta’s signing.

The 22-year-old will join Eusebio Di Francesco, who replaced Ivan Juric at the Bentegodi Stadium in June.

The former Roma coach led the Giallorossi to the Champions League semi-finals in 2018, when they lost a thrilling 7-6 aggregate draw against Liverpool.
