Serie-A News: Juventus ‘all behind’ Allegri, says derby hero Vlahovic

Dusan Vlahovic says Juventus players are firmly backing Massimiliano Allegri after they stopped the rot by winning the Derby della Mole in Turin 1-0.

Head coach Allegri has come under mounting pressure after Juve lost 2-0 to Maccabi Haifa this week after losing Serie A to AC Milan.

Bianconeri president Andrea Agnelli backed Allegri after a mid-week defeat to Maccabi that would likely see the Turin giants face relegation from the Champions League.

Allegri ordered his players to train ahead of the Torino clash, giving them double training sessions.

Juventus responded with a win in Saturday’s derby, with Vlahovic scoring the only goal of the second half at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.

The Serbian striker has made it clear that the players want Allegri to stay.

“We knew it wouldn’t be easy because it’s a derby and it’s a strong team,” Vlahovic said. “We won in their house and it was really important for us, we stay together and united.

“Now we work from game to game and the message is that Juventus will never give up.

“We are all for the coach and you will learn more in difficulty, I am available and I give 100 percent and I want to continue like that.”

Juventus’ victory over city rivals was their first away win of the season.
