Serie-A News: Juventus 3-0 Bologna: Bianconeri bypass visitors to ease pressure on Allegri

Goals from Filip Kostic, Dusan Vlahovic and Arkadiusz Milik helped Juventus snap a month-long losing streak as they returned to Serie A with a 3-0 win over Bologna.

Ahead of Sunday’s meeting, Massimiliano Allegri’s team have not won every tournament since the end of August, which casts doubt on the future of the head coach at the club.

But the Bianconeri’s solid performance against Thiago Motta’s struggling side is likely to allay immediate fears at the Allianz Stadium, as the scope of the Bolognese boss’s task becomes clear.

Aside from a Manuel Locatelli shot that missed the mark in the first minute, the early exchanges weren’t much fun in Turin as both sides looked to get into the game.

But it was Juventus that looked the more lively of the two, and when Vlahovic scored from midfield, the crowd roared at his speed.

Kostic ran deftly down the left flank, and as the ball flew past him, his low shot over the back of Lukas Skorupski through the box was a worthy discovery.

Bologna rarely broke this lead and the visitors were forced to pay again just before the hour mark when Vlahovic headed Weston McKenny.

Just three minutes later, Milik took advantage of a miss in the defense to deliver a furious volley to the top of the gate, and from there the hosts moved into regular time to raise morale.
