Massimiliano Allegri warned that Torino are preparing for the “match of their life” against Juventus in Saturday’s Serie A match.
After starting the winless season in four league games, Juve finally secured a win against Spezia before beating Sampdoria to squeeze three straight 3-2 wins.
Federico Chiesa then inspired Juve against Chelsea by scoring the fastest second-half goal in Champions League history, winning 1-0 as the resurgent Allegri players continue to turn their season around.
However, the Bianconeri have conceded goals in each of their last 20 top-flight games – conceding more consecutively only in 1955 (21) – and Allegri warned that local rivals Torino could prove to be tougher opponents than Chelsea.
“For Torino it will be like the match of a lifetime,” Allegri said in the pre-match press conference on Friday in view of the crucial away match.
“It’s the derby and they are preparing to the maximum. It will be even more difficult on Wednesday.
“On paper we have five points less than expected. We have to recover them at every step.
“On Saturday we have to improve our position in the standings a little bit. The Derby della Mole is the perfect opportunity, even with the fans returning to the stadium ”.

Juventus have lost only one of their last 30 Serie A matches with Torino, but the two face each other on equal points (eight) for the first time since October 2015.
Despite the well-deserved three points won against Chelsea on Wednesday, Allegri expects Torino to propose a different challenge.
“On Wednesday night we felt the closeness of the stadium which had great enthusiasm and passion,” he continued. “It filled me with joy, both for the team and for the atmosphere.
“Against Chelsea the game went well in a way. We have another Saturday. We will have to be good at finding spaces.
“[Ivan] Juric gave Turin great quality. It is a team that gives little. We will have to be on fire and give the best we get.
“We are trying to take home a victory to get into the national team break in the best possible way. We make the most of the positive energy of the moment ”.
