    Saudi Arabia’s impressive triumph adds another shining star to their ranks

    Saudi Arabian club Al-Nasr signed Spanish international defender Aymeric Laporte from Manchester City on Wednesday.

    Italian football transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Laporte underwent a medical in Dubai today Wednesday as Al Nasr’s new player.

    Romano added via his X platform account, “Laporte has now gone to Riyadh after all parties have agreed on a three-year contract and all documents have been signed.”

    The financial details of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

    Laporte, 29, was a key player for Manchester City in past seasons before losing his position last season and at the start of this season.

    Laporte started his career at Spanish club Athletic Bilbao before moving to Manchester City in 2018 and representing the team in 180 matches, scoring 12 goals and providing 4 assists.

    The Spanish defender has won a number of titles with Manchester City, most notably the English Premier League, the FA Cup and the European Champions League.

    At international level, Laporte has 22 international matches with the Spanish national team, in which he scored one goal.

    Laporte will join Al-Nasr club with big stars led by Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal, Sadio Mane of Senegal and Talisca of Brazil.
