And Paris Saint-Germain decided on Tuesday night to suspend Lionel Messi for two weeks after he traveled to Saudi Arabia without getting the French club’s permission.
According to the French newspaper L’Equipe, Messi has decided not to even consider his agreement with Paris Saint-Germain, which he previously reached with Nasser Al Khulaifi, the “club president” during the World Cup in Qatar.
The newspaper indicated that an agreement had been reached between Leo and Al Khulaifi’s representatives regarding the activation of a contract extension clause for a third season in Princes’ Park.
However, the decision of the Parisian administration came to push Messi to pack his bags and leave the Saint-Germain castle.
And the newspaper confirmed that the desire of Paris and Messi became common, as the French club rejected the offer to keep Leo for a third season.
And a French newspaper reported on Saudi Arabia’s intention to prepare an offer, “the largest for any football player in history.”
The L’Equipe report indicated that Saudi Arabia is now the closest destination for Messi and that the contract will be extended by several years if approved.
L’Equipe also indicated that Messi’s environment is taking Saudi Arabia’s offer seriously ahead of the clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
It is noteworthy that lately Messi has been associated with leaving Paris and returning to Barcelona again, or with the passage of a new experience in the Saudi League through Al-Hilal or in the American League from the gates of the Inter Miami club.
