On Tuesday, the Saudi Arabian national football team released an official statement announcing the departure of Salem Al-Dosari, star of the national team and Al-Hilal team, for the Green Camp, which is being held during the current November break.
The decision to exclude Salem Al-Dosari from the current Saudi Arabia camp comes as it has been confirmed that he is not ready to play the team’s two matches in the Asian qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Two days ago, the Saudi Arabian national team released its official list for the two rounds of Asian qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but there have been many changes since its announcement.
The Saudi Arabian national team released a statement through their official X platform account, confirming that it was coach Roberto Mancini who allowed Salem Al-Dosari to leave the camp after it was confirmed that he was not ready.
“Technical Director of the National Team” @robymancio “Salem al-Dosari” is allowed to leave the Al-Akhdar camp.

The text of the statement from the Saudi Arabian team read: “National team technical director Roberto Mancini has allowed player Salem Al-Dosari to leave the national team camp, which is currently located in Al-Ahsa governorate.”
He continued: “This was based on the medical report provided by the team’s medical staff, which stated that the player was unable to participate in the next two matches due to his unavailability and the need to undergo a treatment and rehabilitation program, provided he completes the treatment program in your club.”
The Saudi Arabian national team will face their Pakistani counterparts next Thursday in the first round of Asian qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The green team will also face their Jordanian counterpart next Tuesday, November 21, in the second round of Asian qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
