According to Fabrizio Romano, Bukayo Saka will soon sign a new contract with Arsenal.
The England international appeared to be closely watched by two Premier League clubs and one from overseas, but their efforts were in vain – the 21-year-old won’t be leaving Emirates anytime soon.
Having risen through the ranks, Saka broke into the first team in 2019 while Unai Emery was still in charge, but his notable rise began when Mikel Arteta took over. He spent his early days as a senior playing on the left flank covering the frequently injured Kieran Tierney, but although he did his job relatively well, Arteta eventually realized his talents were being wasted and began to put him on to the right flank.
Saka has scored 13 goals and 10 assists in 38 club appearances this season and has also shone for England.
With Arsenal still not considered one of the biggest clubs in Europe, the ideas of other clubs tracking the player to poach him are easy to understand, but it looks like the Gunners have taken the issue of his contract expiring in 2024 seriously. and will not allow surprises.
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka will sign a new contract very soon, there is no change in the plan as the verbal agreement has been in place since February. ⚪️🔴 #AFK
