World No. 1 Serbian Novak Djokovic was knocked out of the quarter-finals of the Rome 1000-point tennis tournament, losing to seventh Dane Holger Rhone 2-6, 6-4, 2-. 6 on Wednesday.
20-year-old Ron scored his second consecutive victory over 35-year-old Djokovic, who was crowned 6 times in Rome, after defeating him in the final of the Paris-Bercy Masters 2022.

Ron, who will make his debut in Rome, has extended his tally to 12 wins to 3 losses this season on clay, noting that he swallowed the Monte Carlo final last month before winning his fourth title in Munich.
Ronne will meet in the semi-finals of the tournament in Rome with the winner of the tournament Norwegian Kasper Rudd and Argentinean Francisco Sirondolo.
